Buyers Beware, French Business's
After 9 years of living in France and fed up of being ripped off by French business's, I intend to name and shame those that I would STRONGLY advise expats and others to avoid.
France Eolienne.
Suppliers of windmills for generating electricity, now gone bust and subject to criminal procedings following various cons of which I was a victim. I lost over 19,000 euros for equipment I don't have. beware of Igor Ochmiansky and any business he has his sticky little fingers in.
Cerise Techniques, North Dordogne.
Supply and install geothermic equipment, made loads of mistakes during installation, lied regarding rebates for tax relief in their sales pitch and don't honour their so called service contract. they also don't make it plain what is actually covered in that service contract, we were landed with a 147.00 euro bill to change a washer on a piece of equipment we were led to believe was covered. total including legal fees over 860 fucking euros.
Various Insurance companies
Be careful what you are buying, we bought a legal cover only to find they are not interested if amount queried is less than 300 euros, also if its a case of 50/50 chance of winning, they won't touch it. What's the point of taking out legal protection if they renage because they might not win a case?
Lawyers
The title speaks for itself. Ever met an honest lawyer? French lawyers must be the worst. Only interested in their own pockets, don't listen to instruction, don't do the job properly and have the audacity to charge London rates of over £200 per hour, YES ££'s.
The whole legal system in France is there to protect enterprises and not the consumer.
I intend to name and shame those business's and people whose sole aim is to rip off anyone who is not French.
My impression of France, full of thieves, I look forward to leaving the country and sincerely hope the country goes bust.
